Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will own the PREF Analytics cloud data platform, designing and operating scalable AWS-based data solutions that support forecasting, replenishment, procurement, and planning. You will work closely with analysts and program managers to productionize analytical models and automate manual processes. You’ll build robust data pipelines and orchestration, ensuring reliable, production-ready systems that scale with business needs. This is an opportunity to shape data infrastructure for pet-care insights and cross-functional impact at Chewy. Compensation / Benefits * Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure for analytical apps and data platforms * Build and optimize scalable data pipelines using Python, SQL, dbt, and Snowflake * Develop, schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot Apache Airflow workflows for production pipelines * Administer Snowflake, Oracle, AWS, and Gatekeeper environments for reliability and performance * Maintain dbt models, testing, and deployment processes for trusted datasets * Configure production job scheduling, orchestration, monitoring, alerts, and recovery * Establish engineering best practices for data pipelines, scheduling, and infrastructure * Collaborate with analysts and program managers to productionize analytical models and automate processes * Optimize database performance and ensure high availability of data assets * Develop reusable frameworks to improve scalability and operational efficiency Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field * 4+ years of experience in database engineering, cloud infrastructure, or data engineering * Strong experience with AWS services (S3, SageMaker, Airflow, Secrets Manager, networking) * Experience developing and maintaining Apache Airflow DAGs and production scheduling * Hands-on experience with dbt (model development, testing, documentation, deployment) * Advanced SQL and Python development skills * Experience supporting Snowflake and Oracle in production * Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and production-grade data architectures * Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and DevOps practices * Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production support experience Key requirements * 401k and equity grant * medical/vision/dental coverage * parential leave and family services benefits * unlimited PTO * paid holidays * pet adoption reimbursement
