Senior Systems Engineer (ONSITE)

Experteer Overview In this Senior Systems Engineer role, you will shape system-level and subsystem requirements for a GPS-based approach and landing system used in demanding environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions for JPALS and adjacent programs, applying systems thinking to ensure traceable, testable, and coherent architectures. You’ll drive requirement management, verification planning, and interface definitions, contributing to mission-critical aerospace systems. Compensation / Benefits * Support the JPALS and JPALS-adjacent programs * Elicit and define system/subsystem requirements from customer specs * Analyze stakeholder needs to create technical, testable requirements * Apply systems thinking for complete and consistent allocations across hardware, software, and interfaces * Collaborate with the system requirements engineering team and follow guidance from the team lead * Maintain requirements in IBM Rational DOORS with traceability and impact assessment * Create and use DOORS import/export scripts across formats * Define/document system interfaces and contribute to ICDs and architecture artifacts * Participate in design reviews and requirement change assessments * Support verification planning by defining verification methods with test teams Tasks * Familiarity with GPS/PNT systems * Proficiency with IBM Rational DOORS and requirements management best practices * Proficiency with DOORS DXL scripting * Experience with systems engineering activities including requirement derivation, interface definition, allocation, integration, requirement sell-off, analysis, test procedure development, test execution, and results evaluation * Familiarity with documenting specifications, ICDs, TRDs, and verification matrices * Proficiency with Digital Engineering tools (DOORS, Cameo, Microsoft Office Suite, Jira, Confluence) * Typically requires a STEM degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with minimum 3 years of experience Key requirements * Medical, dental, and vision insurance * Three weeks of vacation * 401(k) plan with employer matching and retirement contributions * Tuition reimbursement * Student Loan Repayment Program * Life insurance and disability coverage
