IT Program Manager

Experteer Overview In this IT Program Manager role, you steer a portfolio of technology and business initiatives to advance the VSP mission. You’ll oversee program governance, planning, risk management, and budget stewardship while coordinating cross-functional teams and vendors. You’ll ensure major IT initiatives are delivered on time, aligned with strategic needs, and integrated to enhance public safety and service delivery. Compensation / Benefits * Lead a portfolio of technology and business initiatives in support of the VSP mission * Oversee program-level planning, governance, risk/issue management, resource and capacity planning, and vendor oversight * Manage financial stewardship and executive communications for major initiatives * Ensure initiatives are delivered effectively, aligned with agency strategy, and integrated for public safety and modernized service delivery Tasks * Program and project management principles and governance for complex technology environments * Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and align stakeholders * Strong written and verbal communications tailored for executives, staff, and partners * Negotiation, facilitation, and conflict resolution; build cooperative relationships * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PM tools; produce clear docs, reports, visuals * Analytical and problem-solving skills; data-driven decision making; develop program plans, budgets, roadmaps, metrics * Experience with budgets, procurement support, contract oversight; manage large, multi-disciplinary initiatives * Project Management Professional (PMP) certification; high school graduation * Experience in public sector or law enforcement IT projects preferred; willingness to obtain Commonwealth IT Project Manager qualification Key requirements *
