Job description
Experteer Overview In this role you apply an interdisciplinary, model-based approach to define, analyze, verify, and validate system performance using modeling tools. You work within WARU-defined processes across the full system life cycle to ensure requirements traceability and design integrity. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep the digital thread aligned with customer needs and MOSA goals. You contribute to a digital engineering transformation and sustainment strategy, shaping modular, interoperable systems for aviation programs. Compensation / Benefits * Develop, integrate, and maintain SysMLv2-based architectures using CAMEO for requirements, behavior, interfaces, and verification * Train colleagues on CAMEO best practices to promote standardization * Establish and manage a persistent digital thread linking requirements, design data, analyses, and verification artifacts * Create and evolve digital twin models for performance prediction and decision making * Apply WARU Systems Engineering Fundamentals across the system life cycle * Translate customer needs into measurable requirements and maintain traceability from top-level needs to subsystem specs * Ensure integration of certification requirements (FAA, MIL-HDBK, etc.) into models and tests * Manage requirements database (IBM DOORS) and document via SEMP, SRD, SSRD, ADD, TEMP * Lead technical design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) with model-based evidence and risk insights * Drive MOSA implementation in system models and architecture artifacts * Support end-to-end lifecycle integration across propulsion, avionics, software, structures, payloads * Contribute to proposal development through early modeling, risk identification, and requirement definition * Conduct trade studies and architecture analyses using model-centric approaches * Support Life Cycle Gate reviews per NP&SI and DoDI 5000.02 * Maintain awareness of Requirements Manual and future product improvement plans * Identify customer requirements and develop implementation plans * Document technical review outcomes and ensure process maturity gates are met * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical baselines with model-based architectures Tasks * SysML background; experience with Dassault No Magic/CAMEO not required * Familiarity with MOSA design and modern MBSE practices * Experience with MBSE tools and formal requirements traceability * Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills * Ability to influence without authority and demonstrate accountability * Experience with aerospace certification activities preferred * Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe products * 5+ years engineering or equivalent aviation systems experience * Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Aerospace) or related field * Desire for Master’s in Systems Engineering is a plus Key requirements *
