Experteer Overview In this Network Engineer role, you help drive Northrop Grumman’s Enterprise-wide digital transformation in a defense-focused context. You work on complex networking tasks across Agile, DevSecOps environments to deliver secure, reliable systems for warfighter support. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to install, configure, and optimize hardware and software while upholding cyber and performance standards. This position offers hands-on technical impact, travel for system deployments, and opportunities to grow multi-vendor expertise in a mission-driven company. Compensation / Benefits * Consult on cutting-edge information technologies and methodologies * Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software * Comply with cyber requirements and routine security checks * Implement system enhancements to improve performance and reliability * Resolve complex problems across Agile, Networking, and Software environments * Travel for system installations, test support, and customer demos Tasks * Bachelor in Science in science, engineering, or related discipline with 2 years of experience, or Master’s degree (0 years with Masters) * Experience configuring and operating OSPF in multi-area deployments and inter-area routing * Working knowledge of IS-IS including NET addressing and level selection * Working BGP knowledge (iBGP/eBGP), route policy, multi-site interconnect * Ability to operate Cisco IOS and Junos CLI under time-bound conditions * Experience with multi-vendor topologies in GNS3 and EVE-NG for validation * Experience administering RHEL-family Linux systems and Linux networking * Experience capturing and analyzing packets to validate L2/L3 behavior * U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance * Must be able to travel 10% of the time Key requirements * health insurance coverage * life and disability insurance * savings plan * Company paid holidays * paid time off (PTO) * discretionary bonus possible
