Job description

Experteer Overview In this role, you will architect and implement scalable Pub/Sub solutions for Azure Event Grid, enabling real-time, event-driven architectures at scale. You will partner with PMs, engineering leads, and researchers to shape the service roadmap and drive end-to-end delivery. You will mentor engineers, lead design reviews, and ensure high availability and reliability. The position sits within the Azure Event Grid engineering team, contributing to Microsoft Fabric and the broader data platform mission. You will influence AI tool adoption across the SDLC and help translate customer needs into robust technical solutions. Compensation / Benefits * Architect extensible, reliable messaging solutions at scale with strong diagnosability * Define requirements and drive architecture using telemetry and customer feedback * Lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and promote coding best practices * Develop testing strategies and integrate automation into CI/CD for reliability * Improve development efficiency by building internal tools and evaluating open-source options * Lead incident response and drive post-incident learning to prevent recurrence * Collaborate with PMs, EMs, and researchers to prototype and operationalize innovations * Drive AI tooling adoption across the software development lifecycle Tasks * 8+ years of software engineering experience with coding in C/C++/C#/Java/JavaScript/Python or equivalent * Deep understanding of distributed systems and end-to-end service delivery * Ability to design for scalability, reliability, and high availability * Experience with architecture decisions, design reviews, and mentoring * Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and customers * Security screening requirement (Microsoft Cloud Background Check) * Proven track record in incident management and operational excellence Key requirements *
