As an Insights Analyst, you will leverage one of the richest proprietary data sets in the world to conduct analyses and build data applications for our Learning Solutions business. You will become an expert at using SQL to extract data from LinkedIn’s massive data warehouse and turning that data into compelling insights, tools and narratives to help our sales and marketing team be more successful. This is a unique opportunity to join a young and growing team at LinkedIn and help define measurement for the e-learning industry. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leverage LinkedIn’s unique data to create innovative tools to address business challenges
  • Leverage SQL/Hive/Pig/Python to extract necessary data and build out subsequent visualizations in Tableau and internal front-end systems
  • Understand the e-learning industry, LinkedIn’s place in it and bring new ideas on how to provide value to our clients and measure learning
  • Collaborate closely with the sales, business analytics, product and insights teams to provide analysis, reporting and tool-building capabilities that inform our key stakeholders
  • Develop scalable tools and narratives to help our clients and prospects better understand the value of LinkedIn data as related to Learning & Development
  • Build cross-functional consensus for operational improvements and partner effectively with other teams
  • Conceptualize and drive ideas around tools that can empower and elevate our sales force

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree
  • 5+ years of experience in analytics, consulting or program/product management
  • 3+ years of experience with SQL and relational databases PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced degree in quantitative field
  • Experience in e-learning, L&D, talent analytics or education industry
  • Experience working with non-technical stakeholders (sales, especially)
  • Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop
  • Experience with project management and working cross-functionally with data services, engineering, marketing and sales teams
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, presentation, statistical and data analysis skills
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
