Senior Data Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you will design and operationalize complex data solutions to support AI, ML, and BI initiatives. You will lead data pipeline efforts within the Data Engineering team, ensuring data quality, governance, and usability across the enterprise. You will translate intricate data into clear, end-user friendly products and mentor teammates to grow their capabilities. Compensation / Benefits * Build and operationalize complex data solutions, including data cleansing and quality improvements * Design data solutions and incorporate new data sources aligned to data strategies * Analyze complex data sources to determine value and inclusion in analytics * Uphold data governance, security, and data quality standards * Act as SME to support delivery and educate end users on data products/analytic environments * Perform analysis, assessment and resolution of high-complexity defects and incidents * Collaborate across teams to support delivery and educate end users * Perform other duties as assigned Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related STEM field; 10 years of related experience * Hands-on experience with dbt (models, tests, snapshots, documentation) * Experience building and operating pipeline orchestration (Airflow and/or Dagster) * Experience delivering data solutions in AWS (S3 and related services) * Strong data modeling and product-focused design skills * Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate delivery * Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and IAM/RBAC * Ability to propose scalable, reusable data platform architectures * Solid cyber security knowledge; familiarity with cyber threat landscape * Growth mindset and ability to influence business priorities Key requirements * Health insurance from day one * 401(k) match up to 5% * Pension plan funded by Travelers * Paid time off (minimum 20 days) * Nine holidays * Wellness program and mental health resources
