Experteer Overview In this role you will apply security controls and guidance to cloud-based systems in a classified environment, partnering across software, systems, DevOps, and architecture teams. You will help design secure architectures, embed security into the SDLC, and lead assessment activities to maintain A&A readiness. The position sits within a mission-focused defense tech company delivering integrated, resilient digital solutions. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities and ensure compliance. Compensation / Benefits * Identify and implement NIST SP 800-53 security and privacy controls * Develop secure baselines per DISA STIGs and CIS guidelines * Contribute to secure architectures and system designs * Embed security requirements throughout SDLC * Perform Continuous Monitoring in support of A&A * Create, review, and maintain A&A artifacts * Conduct security analysis and monitoring across a 100% AWS environment * Perform vulnerability scanning and remediation planning * Interface with ISSMs to support accreditation * Lead or participate in TEMs and document outcomes Tasks * 6-10 years of ISSE or cybersecurity experience * Active TS/SCI with Polygraph * BS in a technical discipline or equivalent experience * CISSP or CompTIA Security+ preferred * Linux experience with command line proficiency * Scripting in Bash, Python, or similar * Solid networking fundamentals (ports, routing, subnets, VPNs, firewalls) * Experience in Agile development environments * Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-37, 800-53, 800-160, DISA/CIS STIGs, and CVE management * Experience with RMF workflow tools and processes * Strong written and verbal communication skills Key requirements *
