Job description
We are seeking a VP of Publisher Experience and Platform Mastercard Commerce Media, a newly established digital media network, where advertisers can reach consumers with highly personalized, targeted ads and offers on premium publishing channels. This leader will be responsible for the new platform for publishers, inclusive of front end, back end, decision engine, reporting, onboarding, and overall publisher experience to display ads and offers. Key Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Product Strategy & Vision
- Own the end to end platform vision and multi year roadmap for the Commerce Media platform.
- Set strategy for publisher experience to include platform front end, back end, adapters (Pre-Bid, SDK, JS, VAST), core decisioning, monetization, reporting and billing, and streamlined onboarding.

Make tradeoffs balancing customer value, revenue growth, platform scalability, and operational reliability. Product Execution & Delivery
- Translate publisher needs and current processes into clear product priorities and outcomes to deliver scaled platform by Q3 2026.
- Drive an API first product approach that enables extensibility, partner integrations, and internal reuse.
- Partner closely with Engineering to ensure product requirements align with architectural and operational constraints.
- Work closely with cross functional partners on data strategy, privacy to integrate identify graph into platform.
- Champion responsible, AI first product strategies to improve decision quality, automation, and speed to market.
- Identify and prioritize AI driven opportunities across product experiences, experimentation, and analytics.
- Establish product level guardrails for AI use in performance and correctness critical environments.
- Act as a senior partner to Engineering, Data Science, Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Operations.
- Communicate complex product strategies and tradeoffs clearly to executives, customers and non technical stakeholders.
- Represent the product portfolio in executive discussions, customer engagements, and strategic partnerships.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high performing team of senior product leaders and managers.
- Foster a culture of ownership, clarity, and customer centric decision making.

Requirements
- Solid Ad Tech platform experience
- Background in commerce media, marketplaces, or real time platforms
- Platform owner of a commerce media business, have either built from the ground up or intimately familiar with existing platforms
- Proven experience leading platform or infrastructure adjacent solutions at enterprise scale.
- Strong judgment in complex, high throughput, real time or decisioning driven environments.
- Demonstrated success partnering deeply with Engineering on technically sophisticated products.
- People leader, talent developer
- Experience driving AI enabled product strategies with a focus on responsible adoption.
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder influence skills.
Benefits & conditions
In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more. Mastercard benefits for interns generally include: 56 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time; jury duty leave; and on-site fitness facilities in some locations. Pay Ranges New York City, New York: $245,000 - $391,000 USD
