Platform Solutions Architect

Experteer Overview As Platform Solutions Architect, you will shape a secure, hybrid-cloud platform that supports mission-critical software delivery for national security systems. You’ll work with senior engineers to evolve the architecture, balance security and performance, and ensure resilience across on-premises and cloud environments. You will prototype new capabilities, drive technical decisions, and articulate tradeoffs to leadership. This role offers impact at scale, aligning platform evolution with mission needs and program timelines. You bring hands-on architectural influence and a passion for secure, reliable software delivery. Compensation / Benefits * Platform Architecture Development: evolve and document current and target architectures for a secure hybrid cloud platform * Future Platform Capability Design: assess emerging technologies and conduct structured analyses * Architecture Prototyping and Innovation: build prototypes and demonstrations to validate approaches * Secure Platform Engineering: ensure compatibility with cybersecurity, accreditation, and mission assurance requirements * Technical Decision Support: prepare analyses, diagrams, and decision papers for leadership * Platform Resilience and Operational Excellence: improve reliability, scalability, monitoring, and fault tolerance * Cross-Team Technical Leadership: collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and DevSecOps teams * Architecture Documentation and Governance: maintain standards, RARs, and reference architectures Tasks * US Citizen with active DoD Secret clearance * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related Engineering discipline * Minimum 8 years in systems/platform engineering, cloud architecture, or DevSecOps * Experience designing or evolving distributed systems, cloud platforms, or DevSecOps ecosystems * Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and container-based environments * Experience in secure or regulated environments with cybersecurity/compliance requirements * Proficiency with Kubernetes-based orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, GitOps and IaC * Experience with secure identity management, observability, and secret management * Strong written/verbal communication for technical and stakeholder briefs * Ability to report to on-site locations in Colorado Springs or El Segundo Key requirements * health insurance * flexible spending accounts * health savings accounts * retirement savings plans * life and disability insurance * paid time off and other leave options
