Senior Manager IT - Infrastructure Platforms (Remote)

Experteer Overview In this role you lead the end-to-end operations of core infrastructure platforms, ensuring secure, highly available systems that support critical bank applications. You will manage a cross-functional team of engineers across Windows, Linux, AIX, storage and backup, aligning with regulatory and business needs. You will drive stability, disaster recovery readiness, and modernization initiatives while partnering with security, architecture, and risk teams. This is a hands-on leadership role that shapes infrastructure strategy and execution at scale. Compensation / Benefits * Lead daily operations for Windows, Linux, AIX, storage and backup environments across production, DR, test and development * Coach and develop system administrators and engineers; manage workload, performance feedback, and career planning * Ensure high availability through monitoring, capacity planning, incident management, and continuous service improvements * Oversee lifecycle management of servers, OS, storage, and backup systems including patching and upgrades * Maintain backup, restore, replication, and DR readiness with documented objectives and testing * Collaborate with cybersecurity and risk teams to implement secure configurations and compliance * Establish infrastructure standards, runbooks, change controls, and platform governance * Coordinate major incident response and leadership during outages and recoveries * Support audits by providing evidence, addressing inquiries, and remediating gaps * Manage vendor relationships for hardware, software, and services * Contribute to strategic planning for modernization, automation, cloud integration, and roadmap * Collaborate with application and database teams on performance and infrastructure needs * Drive automation and efficiency through scripting and standardized deployment * Own capacity and performance management for compute, storage, and backup * Ensure ITIL-aligned processes for incident, problem, change, and configuration management Tasks * Bachelor in Applications development, analysis or engineering OR High School Diploma or GED with 12 years of experience * 7+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience across multiple enterprise server platforms * 3+ years of leadership or management experience * Experience supporting Windows Server, Linux, AIX, storage, and backup in mid-sized/large enterprises * Strong understanding of hardening, backup/recovery, DR, and production support * Experience with change management, incident response, root cause analysis, and documentation * Effective communication with technical teams, leaders, auditors, vendors, and stakeholders * Experience in regulated environments with strong controls and risk management Key requirements *
