Job description

This position is for the leader of a data network team responsible for the design, deployment, support and stewardship of enterprise-class global networks. This is a senior leadership level position requiring a strong background in Network, Voice, Video and Unified Communications technologies. This leader is in charge of maintenance and operations of providing Networking services for critical applications, voice, video, Unified Communications and Contact Center environments consisting of 20 corporate locations, 2 major data centers servicing approximately 5,000 employees and more than 48,000 customers in 150+ countries across multiple industries. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Thought leadership in the areas of enterprise-class data center networks, emerging technologies (NFV, Containerization, Orchestration, NaaS, LAN overlays, SDx), and network automation and driving efficiencies into the support and stewardship processes
  • Manage the build-out; evolution; and operational support of enterprise network, voice & telecom solutions. Responsible for all operations and growth related to communications & transport mechanisms via LAN, WAN & Wireless, Network, Voice, Video, Unified Computing and Contact Center technologies systems
  • Partner with other business teams to deliver projects and to ensure operational efficiency and reliability for network, voice, & telecom services
  • Implement technology lifecycle strategy (current, emerging, sunset) and procurement strategies
  • Develop and manage operational service metrics with actionable plans to improve operational efficiency, enhance service quality/SLA, & optimize delivery times (value streams optimization)
  • Collect, track, and analyze performance data for the purposes of improving operations, forecasting staffing needs and effectively utilizing all available resources. Maintain effective network operations plans, processes and procedures
  • Responsible for all network changes and implementation in testing and production with final go / no go decision making authority for Network, Voice, & Telecom related initiatives and issues
  • Budget planning (capital & operational expenditures) and spends
  • Build a strong network team, Interview/hires new employees, evaluate performance (quarterly/annual) and recommend training and personnel actions where required
  • Ensure compliance with established industry rules, regulations and best practices

Requirements

  • Must be a forward thinker in bringing Devops/SRE practices to networking ( NetDevOps ) with experience in network automation
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience managing large scale enterprise network, voice, and telecom operations
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or computer science or equivalent experience
  • Advanced network and/or IT certification (PCNSE, CCIE, CCNP, CISSP) or equivalent
  • Experience with industry leading network equipment; Palo Alto Networks, Arista, Cisco, F5/Avi Networks etc.
  • Protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, HSRP/VRRP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, SNMP, MPLS, MCAST, QoS, WCCP, SIP, and IPSEC
  • Infrastructure: AWS, Azure, LAN, WAN, MPLS, & Wireless
  • Experience with SIP and H.323 protocols
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop managers and associates
  • Extremely flexible due to the changing priority of project initiatives
  • Must possess superior interpersonal, analytical, organizational skills and great attention to detail in planning and documentation
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure, self-motivated and service-focused
  • Ability to travel 10% or more of the time
  • Experience in Python, Git, Ansible would be a huge plus
