Java Developer / Architect

Experteer Overview In this senior role you will lead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade Java applications, providing both technical leadership and architectural guidance. You will work with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, secure solutions. You will shape architectures, review code, and drive modernization through microservices, APIs, and cloud-native patterns. This position offers impact across client engagements and potential to mentor teams while influencing solution strategy. You will engage in pre-sales and ensure security and governance throughout the SDLC. Compensation / Benefits * Architect, design, and oversee development of scalable, secure, full-stack Java applications for enterprise clients across industries * Serve as the technical lead on client engagements, translating business requirements into robust technical solutions and architecture blueprints * Define and enforce architectural standards, coding best practices, and design patterns across project teams * Provide hands-on development support for complex backend and frontend components when required, including proof-of-concepts and MVPs * Lead technical design reviews, architecture governance boards, and solution walkthroughs with client stakeholders * Evaluate and recommend technology stacks, frameworks, and cloud platforms aligned to client needs and modernization goals * Design and implement microservices architectures, RESTful/GraphQL APIs, and event-driven systems * Guide teams on CI/CD pipeline design, DevOps practices, containerization, and cloud-native deployment strategies * Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and system optimization for high-availability applications * Mentor and upskill junior and mid-level developers; contribute to internal Communities of Practice and reusable accelerators * Support pre-sales activities including technical solutioning, proposal writing, and client presentations * Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and data governance standards throughout the SDLC Tasks * 10+ years of professional software development experience, with 3+ years in an architect or technical lead capacity * Expert-level proficiency in Java (Java 11/17+) and the broader JVM ecosystem * Strong experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, Spring Data) * Proven expertise designing microservices architectures and distributed systems * Front-end development experience with Angular, React, or Vue.js * Solid understanding of RESTful API design, GraphQL, and API gateway patterns * Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases * Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native architecture patterns * Proficiency with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) * Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) * Experience with messaging/event streaming platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar) * Deep understanding of design patterns, domain-driven design (DDD), and enterprise integration patterns * Excellent client-facing communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills * Prior consulting or professional services experience strongly preferred Key requirements * Unlimited paid time off * Healthcare benefits * Dental benefits * Vision benefits * Disability insurance * Life insurance benefits
