IT Security Manager - Third-Party IT Risk Manager

Experteer Overview In this role you lead Wolters Kluwer’s global Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) program, driving modernization from questionnaire-driven to data-informed, automated risk practices. You partner with Legal, Privacy, Procurement, and Global Supply Chain to harmonize approaches and embed enterprise standards. You design and implement innovative assurance models with continuous monitoring, AI, and technical validation to provide real-time supplier risk insights. You will lead a distributed team, influence senior stakeholders, and shape risk governance across markets. Compensation / Benefits * Lead and evolve the global TPRM program and operating model to be scalable and risk-based * Modernize TPTRM from questionnaire-driven to data-driven with technical validation, continuous monitoring, AI, and risk quantification * Manage and develop a team of risk professionals and technical reviewers across the TPRM function * Implement continuous monitoring to provide near real-time visibility into supplier cyber posture, control performance, and risk indicators * Design and deploy automation and AI-assisted approaches for evidence collection, risk scoring, and exception management * Continuously assess tools, data sources, and assurance models to improve coverage and signal quality * Develop, review, and analyze third-party contracts to protect company assets and ensure alignment with internal requirements * Maintain an enterprise-wide inventory of third-party relationships, risk tiers, and treatment decisions * Provide clear reporting on third-party cyber risk posture, trends, and concentration risk to senior leadership * Build high-performing teams and foster accountability, innovation, and alignment with LK values * Communicate risk posture and trends to senior leadership with clarity and impact * Foster cross-functional collaboration across Technology, Procurement, Legal, Privacy, and Enterprise Risk Management Tasks * Bachelors degree in computer science, information security, MIS or similar * 12+ years in cybersecurity or technology risk with significant third-party risk management experience * 5+ years of leadership experience * Proven track record designing and leading a global TPRM program across the full risk lifecycle * Experience modernizing TPRM with risk-based approaches that include technical validation, automation, and continuous monitoring * Ability to make senior-level decisions independently without formal authority * Strong technical fluency across cloud platforms, APIs, identity, data flows, and integration architectures * Experience overseeing advanced technical assessments for high-risk third parties (architecture reviews, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, threat modeling) * Ability to operate in highly distributed, market-driven environments * Proven leadership in building teams and influencing senior stakeholders across Technology, Procurement, Legal, Privacy, and ERM * Strong executive communication skills for reporting to senior leadership Key requirements * Medical, Dental, & Vision Plans * 401(k) * FSA/HSA * Commuter Benefits * Tuition Assistance Plan * Vacation and Sick Time
