Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you design, implement, and maintain complex data center networks with a focus on Cisco Nexus switches and VSS. You collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to ensure high availability, performance, and security. You will drive network modernization, troubleshooting, and optimization in a hybrid work environment. This position offers a path to lead architectural improvements and network upgrades in a large enterprise setting. Compensation / Benefits * Design, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, and data center networks with emphasis on Nexus switches and VSS * Document topologies and configurations to meet performance and security requirements * Deeply manage VSS, fabric partitioning, redundancy, and failover across Nexus devices * Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize Nexus Fabric with vPC and related features * Diagnose and resolve complex network issues; monitor and proactively address bottlenecks * Implement and maintain security measures (ACLs, firewalls, IDS/IPS) and stay current on threats * Collaborate with server, storage, and application teams; communicate status and resolutions * Stay updated with new network technologies and propose improvements; manage project changes and upgrades Tasks * 5+ years in network engineering with Cisco focus * Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) highly desirable * Proficient in TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS * Experience with IOS and NX-OS; familiarity with network monitoring tools * Strong security knowledge and troubleshooting skills Key requirements * Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance * Paid holidays * Paid Time Off * 401(k) plan and contributions * Long-term/Short-term Disability * Paid Parental Leave
