Job description

The Senior Systems Administrator is expected to be able to accomplish the following:

  • Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency.

  • Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts.

  • Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.

  • Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.

  • Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.

  • Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.

  • May be assigned responsibility for less experienced staff., We are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join our Task Order proposal on the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise III (SITE III). TheSeniorSystems Administrator maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI +CI Polyclearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).

  • Comptia Security+ At least one Advanced Platform Certification:

  • RHCSA

  • RHCE or Windows equivalent

  • Minimum 8-12 years of progressively responsible systems administration experience.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise, multi-user environments in DoD or Intelligence Community settings preferred.

  • Experience operating in classified environments., The employee is frequently required to lift up to 25 pounds; and up to 50 pounds. The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
