MS Dynamics Business Central Functional Consultant

Our client is seeking an experienced MS Dynamics Business Central Functional Consultant to support the configuration, implementation and successful rollout of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central across key business functions., * Configure Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to support established operational processes across areas including finance, procurement, sales and inventory.

• Design and implement approval workflows that reflect business requirements and appropriate governance controls.
• Support the end-to-end implementation and go-live process, including data mapping, readiness activities and post-implementation support.
• Configure user roles, permissions and access arrangements to ensure appropriate levels of system access across different functional teams.
• Work with business stakeholders to understand operational requirements and translate these into suitable Business Central configurations.
• Deliver user guidance and training to support the effective adoption of Business Central.
• Produce and maintain system documentation, support procedures and records of configuration changes.

• Minimum 5+ years’ relevant experience working with ERP solutions, with strong hands-on experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Demonstrable experience configuring and administering Business Central, particularly user permissions and approval workflows.
• Strong understanding of role-based access, user security and appropriate information security controls.
• Experience supporting ERP implementations, system configuration or business change initiatives.
• Good understanding of core business processes, particularly finance and procurement.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical and functional concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience preparing technical documentation, user guides and operational support materials.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience supporting Business Central implementations through go-live and subsequent stabilisation periods.
• Knowledge of inventory, sales and wider operational processes within an ERP environment.
• Previous involvement in data mapping or migration activities as part of an ERP implementation.
• Experience working with stakeholders across multiple functional business areas.
• Familiarity with Microsoft technologies that integrate with or complement Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Educational Requirements:

• Third-level qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Finance or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• Relevant Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Business Central certifications would be advantageous.
