Senior Data Engineer - Data Foundations (all genders)

Experteer Overview In this role you own and evolve the data platform to empower cross-team analytics and self-serve data tooling. You will drive the transition to a scalable platform using Dagster, dbt, AWS ECS, and Google BigQuery, delivering core ELT capabilities that accelerate data workflows. You also own the most critical pipelines and reports that inform executive decisions. This is a high-impact role at a fast-growing e-commerce company with a culture of ownership and collaboration. Pay / Benefits * Own the data platform and guide its evolution with Dagster, dbt, AWS ECS, and GBQ * Build and maintain core ELT pipelines moving terabytes from MySQL (AWS) to GBQ with safe daytime syncs * Develop and maintain core reports foundational to executive decisions * Create tooling, monitoring, data checks, connectors, cost controls, testing, CI/CD, and cataloging to enable data teams * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, reliable data infrastructure Tasks * Substantial hands-on experience in Data Engineering and Software Engineering * Deep, practical experience with Dagster, dbt, Google BigQuery, and AWS (ECS) * Strong software engineering fundamentals (CI/CD, testing, design patterns) * Expert-level SQL and Python * Knowledge of Docker and infrastructure as code (Terraform/CloudFormation) * Pragmatic excellence and team-first mindset * Strong communication with diverse stakeholders, business fluent in English Key requirements *
