Job description
Our client is hiring a Full-Stack Software Engineer to help scale its specialty medication access platform for independent specialty providers.
This is a high-impact, high-ownership role for someone who wants exposure across the entire stack - from provider-facing features to complex healthcare integrations to AI-powered automation for prior authorizations, appeals, and medication access workflows.
This is a strong fit for an engineer who wants to build an AI-native healthcare product that touches real patients, real providers, and real operational complexity.
What You’ll Do
- Build full-stack product features used by healthcare providers and internal teams
- Scale integrations that automate medication access workflows across providers, payers, pharmacies, and manufacturers
- Build AI-powered systems for prior authorizations, appeals, benefits verification, and related workflows
- Work across multiple AI modalities, including document parsing, voice, browser automation, and workflow automation
- Own projects from initial idea through architecture, implementation, launch, and measurable impact
- Partner closely with founders, engineers, operations, and provider success teams
- Build products that improve access to specialty medications for patients
- Help maintain a high technical bar across product, systems design, engineering quality, and company culture
- Contribute to the norms, practices, and standards of an early engineering team, * Work on one of the largest and most painful problems in healthcare: specialty medication access
- Build technology that directly impacts providers, patients, and access to life-changing therapies
- Get broad exposure across the full stack, AI systems, integrations, and healthcare operations
- Work closely with founders and a talent-dense engineering team
- Own meaningful projects from inception to outcome
- Help define engineering culture, technical standards, and product direction as an early team member
- Receive meaningful equity and participate directly in the company’s upside
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer
- Proven experience building and maintaining full-stack web applications
- Strong ability to move quickly and deliver high-quality outcomes in fast-growing, product-driven environments
- Experience across modern technologies such as Python, React, PostgreSQL, Redis, LangChain, or similar tools
- Strong product instincts and comfort owning problems end-to-end
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, operations, provider success, and leadership
- Interest in AI-native products, healthcare workflows, and real-world operational automation
- NYC-based and able to work from the Flatiron office, with approximately one work-from-home day per week
Bonus Experience
- Experience in healthcare technology, health insurance, pharmacy, prior authorization, EMR integrations, or revenue cycle workflows
- Experience building AI-powered workflow automation products
- Experience with document parsing, voice AI, browser automation, or agentic systems
- Experience at an early-stage or fast-growing startup
- Experience building internal tools, provider-facing products, or operational workflow platforms
