Job description
The Senior .NET Developer will support a business application team responsible for enterprise systems used by Human Resources, Legal, and Compliance organizations. This individual will help develop, enhance, and modernize applications that support employee management, compliance processes, policy administration, reporting, and other critical business functions. This role requires a hands-on developer who can work directly with business stakeholders, translate requirements into technical solutions, and independently drive development efforts across a portfolio of applications.
- Design, develop, and support C#/.NET applications and APIs supporting HR, Legal, and Compliance functions
- Partner directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions
- Modernize legacy applications through upgrades, enhancements, and code refactoring
- Build and support integrations between enterprise business systems
- Develop proof-of-concepts (POCs) to validate new technologies and modernization strategies
- Create technical documentation, solution recommendations, and application assessments
- Ensure applications meet security, governance, audit, and compliance requirements
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions
- Own projects from analysis and design through development, testing, and deployment Collaborate with application teams to drive continuous improvement and modernization efforts
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with C# / .NET Core development
- Experience building and supporting REST APIs and backend services
- Experience modernizing or enhancing legacy enterprise applications
- Experience with React, Blazor, or similar UI frameworks
- Experience working directly with HR, Legal, Compliance, or other business stakeholders
- Ability to independently own projects from requirements through delivery
- Experience using AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) to improve development productivity Strong communication skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Kafka or event-driven architecture experience
- Experience with enterprise application integrations
- Background in financial services, insurance, or other regulated industries Experience supporting application modernization initiatives
