Cyber Palo Alto Networks Security Engineer/ Senior Consultant, Strategy, Growth, and Transformation

Experteer Overview In this role you help clients modernize network security through cloud-delivered zero trust architectures. You will design, deploy, and optimize Palo Alto networks and Zscaler capabilities in complex environments, bridging on-premises and cloud ecosystems. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen security posture while enabling secure transformation. This is a hands-on consulting role with a focus on shaping secure, scalable solutions for enterprise clients. Compensation / Benefits * Design, deploy, and manage Palo Alto Networks NGFW across on-premises and cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) * Implement and optimize Prisma Access components (GlobalProtect, Prisma Agent, Prisma Browser) for secure internet and remote access * Administer Panorama and Strata Cloud Manager for centralized policy management and visibility * Configure and tune Threat Prevention, IPS/IDS, Anti-Spyware, Antivirus, WildFire, DNS Security, and SSL/TLS decryption policies * Develop client solution designs integrating Palo Alto platforms with SIEM/SOAR, identity providers, and automation via Terraform/Ansible/Python * Lead project workstreams, manage multiple tasks, and communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders * Support security policy lifecycle, rule optimization, and periodic access reviews * Assist with cloud-native VM-Series deployments and security in AWS/GCP/Azure * Travel up to 50% as needed to serve clients Tasks * BA/BS degree in a technical field * PCNSE certification * 5+ years in network security engineering with Palo Alto technologies * 5+ years deploying NGFW in on-premises and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) * 3+ years Prisma Access, including GlobalProtect/Prisma Agent/Prisma Browser * 3+ years Panorama and Strata Cloud Manager experience * 3+ years configuring Threat Prevention features and SSL/TLS decryption policies * 3+ years defining and reviewing security policies and rule lifecycles * 3+ years working with one or more major cloud providers and deploying VM-Series in cloud architectures * Ability to travel up to 50% * Preferred: CISSP/CCIE Security/CCNP Security or GIAC equivalents, experience with Terraform/Ansible/Python, SIEM/SOAR integrations * Experience with identity providers (Okta/Azure AD/Ping Identity) and SAML/SCIM * Consulting or Big 4 experience is a plus Key requirements * discretionary annual incentive program * reasonable accommodations for disabilities
