Experteer Overview As a member of Arista’s EOS software team, you will help build the Linux-based network operating system powering leading data center switches. You’ll own features from specification through deployment and work with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software. The role involves coding in C/C++, writing tests, and debugging in collaboration with customers and internal engineers. You’ll contribute to the reliability and performance of Arista’s EOS across complex routing scenarios, shaping how data center networks scale. Compensation / Benefits * Write functional and design specifications for forwarding features in data center and internet routing contexts * Implement solutions in C/C++ for EOS, addressing small- to mid-sized problems autonomously * Create test plan specifications and develop automated tests for EOS features * Debug issues found by automated tests and fix them * Collaborate on larger routing protocol problem solving on a team * Triage customer network problems with Support Engineers and provide fixes via releases or patches * Mentor new and junior engineers to accelerate onboarding * Review and contribute to peer specifications and implementations * Help plan and maintain schedules for implementation and debugging tasks, updating weekly * Engage with System Test Engineers to resolve test failures and provide fixes Tasks * BSc, MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering with 5+ years of related post-graduate experience * Knowledge of C and/or C++ * Knowledge of UNIX or Linux Key requirements *
