Job description
As a Security Officer - Data Center Verifications in Mesa, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading technology data center location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, support badge verification, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This driving position offers the opportunity to provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally, and use technology to document activities. Join Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative team, where people come first and integrity guides every action., Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors at a data center location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of data center buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, entry points, and other assigned locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
