Job description

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and Epic-certified Cogito Analyst to support enterprise-level healthcare analytics initiatives. This role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining reports, dashboards, and data models using Epic Cogito tools. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in healthcare BI, strong SQL skills, and a proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights - especially in revenue cycle and clinical domains.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Epic Cogito tools
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across Epic Clarity and Caboodle environments
  • Support revenue cycle and clinical analytics initiatives
  • Provide training and documentation for end users
  • Stay current with Epic Cogito enhancements and best practices

Requirements

The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s/applicant’s qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Epic Cogito and Reporting Workbench (RWB)
  • Advanced SQL skills, including the ability to:
  • Write SQL queries from scratch
  • Build joins and complex queries independently
  • Experience working in a developer/architect capacity
  • Must be able work in a collaborative environment
  • 3+ years of BI Analysis experience in a Healthcare System/Hospital environment
  • Epic Cogito Fundamentals certification is required; certifications in Clarity and Caboodle Data Model are preferred but they will most likely have all certs
  • Proficient in Tableau for dashboard development and data visualization
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with Epic Cogito tools (e.g., Reporting Workbench, Radar, SlicerDicer)
  • Ability to interpret complex data sets, including revenue cycle data, and translate business needs into technical solutions
