Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will manage enterprise Unix/Linux estates (RHEL, HP-UX, Solaris) to deliver high availability, security, and performance for mission-critical apps. You will lead lifecycle, patching, and incident resolution while driving automation and modernization across production and non-production environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in an ITIL-driven setting to ensure reliable infrastructure services and disaster recovery readiness. This role offers impact through OS upgrades, capacity planning, and technical leadership. Pay / Benefits * Run day-to-day platform administration across RHEL, HP-UX, and Solaris environments * Oversee lifecycle management including upgrades, patching, and decommissioning * Lead incident resolution, major incident calls, and RCA discussions * Drive automation initiatives and infrastructure modernization * Perform capacity planning and performance tuning across compute, storage, and network layers * Coordinate disaster recovery planning and DR testing * Mentor junior admins and lead technical competency development * Engage with application, database, storage, network, cloud, security, and service management teams Tasks * Minimum 10+ years of hands-on Unix/Linux infrastructure experience * Experience in large-scale, 24x7 production environments * Expertise with RHEL 7/8/9, HP-UX 11i v3, Solaris 10/11 * OS lifecycle management, kernel tuning, performance optimization * Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing communication * Leadership experience as Technical Lead or SME; incident and problem management * Security hardening, audit remediation, and IAM integrations (LDAP, AD, PAM, SSH, SUDO, MFA) * Experience with ITIL processes and ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools * Automation experience with Shell/Bash/Korn/Python/Perl and Ansible * Exposure to DevOps, IaC (e.g., Terraform, Ansible), CI/CD practices Key requirements *
