Lead Consultant - OpenShift - Managed Infrastructure-Brussels, Belgium

• In this role, you will architect, design, and manage large-scale OpenShift, OpenStack, and KVM-based platforms.
• Lead platform engineering, automation, and SRE practices for mission-critical workloads.
• Drive containerization and cloud transformation initiatives across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, security, and compliance of enterprise platforms.
• Work in ITIL-based delivery environments collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• 10-16 years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, and virtualization.
• Strong hands-on expertise in OpenShift, OpenStack, and KVM.

Preferred

• Expert-level experience in OpenShift (OCP) architecture, installation, upgrades, and cluster lifecycle management.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes internals - scheduler, etcd, networking, storage, and operators.
• Strong experience with OpenStack components (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Glance, Keystone, Heat).
• Hands-on expertise in KVM, libvirt, and virtualization performance tuning.
• Experience with SDN technologies (OVS, OVN, VXLAN, Calico).
• Automation using Ansible, Terraform, GitOps (ArgoCD, Flux).
• CI/CD integration and DevOps/SRE practices.
• Experience in HA/DR design, cluster hardening, and capacity planning.
• Strong troubleshooting and RCA capabilities.
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and enterprise operations.

Advanced Concepts / Expertise

• Multi-cluster OpenShift architecture and hybrid cloud deployments.
• Advanced Kubernetes networking and service mesh (Istio, Envoy).
• OpenStack cloud federation and multi-region design.
• Ceph-based storage integration and optimization.
• GPU workloads and container orchestration.
• Security hardening: RBAC, SELinux, network policies, zero-trust.
• Platform observability, chaos engineering, and resilience testing.
• Performance benchmarking and tuning at scale.
• Cost optimization and capacity forecasting.

Nice to Have

• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Certifications (RHCA, RHCE, CKA, OpenStack).
• Programming (Python, Go).
• DevSecOps and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with edge computing and telco cloud.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. The role may require participation in rotational shifts, on-call duty, and incident-response engagement during critical network events. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
