Job description

A NATO organisation in Brussels runs the IT and communications services behind a headquarters that works around the clock. • Supporting the annual inventory inspections alongside the logistics staff and the account holders across the area of responsibility.

  • Working with the technicians so the equipment requested is the equipment the user actually needs.
  • Monitoring deliveries and shipments to and from the warehouse - checking quantity and quality, labelling, and issuing to the end user.
  • Working closely with the logistics section head, recommending solutions and getting on with it under limited supervision., * Brussels, Belgium - 100% on site, during normal office hours. Occasional off-site work can be arranged with the line manager.
  • Delivery is measured in one-week sprints, each agreed at a planning meeting, with a short written report at the end of it.
  • The service runs from 28 September to 31 December 2026, with an option for the whole of 2027.
  • Occasional travel to other NATO sites is possible; travel is arranged and reimbursed separately.
  • You must hold a valid clearance and be a citizen of a NATO member country with the right to work in Belgium.

Requirements

  • Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with two years of related experience, or a secondary qualification with four years.
  • Vocational training in supply, logistics or supply chain management.
  • A proven understanding of asset acquisition procedures.
  • The ability to cooperate with technical staff and advise on the technical aspects of ICT equipment.
  • Hands-on experience with the Oracle ERP logistics and asset management modules.
  • Experience of administrative work that compiles, verifies, records and processes forms and documents to a defined directive.
  • Knowledge of NATO CIS asset regulations and of local logistics regulations for a NATO headquarters.

Nice to have

  • Practical experience with NATO resource management tools.
  • Oracle Business Intelligence for logistics, or Microsoft Power BI.
  • Experience in an international environment with both military and civilian colleagues.
  • An understanding of NATO’s structure and responsibilities.
