Job description

A NATO site in Wesel needs an IT logistics specialist to support its enabling services, working to the logistics team and the ICT service management branch. If an asset arrives, moves, breaks or leaves, you are the person who records it and makes sure the paperwork matches the shelf. What you would be doing

  • Supporting the administration and maintenance of the CIS property accounting records across the area of responsibility.
  • Processing IT asset deliveries, storage and shipments.
  • Requisitioning, receipt, storage, distribution, exchange, movement and disposal of CIS assets.
  • Administering and maintaining IT assets in the central database.
  • Providing IT assets to local customers within the agreed service levels.
  • Assisting with annual inventory activities and coordinating them with the local CIS points of contact and the central logistics team.
  • Handling equipment discrepancies - dismantling hardware, documenting and reporting it to the applicable directives.
  • Coordinating with the technicians so the equipment requested is what the user actually needs.
  • Planning and scheduling your own work and monitoring your own progress.

Requirements

  • Higher-level vocational training in supply, logistics or supply chain management - or a secondary diploma with five years of related experience.
  • Real experience in asset management and in processing incoming and outgoing assets.
  • Order and inventory management inside an asset management database, for example Oracle.
  • Experience with an ITSM ticketing system for monitoring and processing service requests.
  • Administrative work that compiles, verifies, records and processes forms and documents.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Nice to have: NATO environments, international military and civilian settings, NATO logistics regulations, basic IT hardware knowledge and the Microsoft Office suite.

Practical detail

  • Wesel, Germany - on site, 38 hours a week Monday to Friday. Remote work only in exceptional circumstances and with prior approval.
  • 28 September to 31 December 2026, 470 hours in total.
  • Graded at the equivalent of NATO G10.
  • You must hold a valid clearance at the time of submission and covering the contract period, and be a citizen of a NATO member country with the right to work in Germany.

If you have run asset records in a place where an audit actually happens, you will recognise this one.
