Sr Cloud Technical Lead

Experteer Overview As a Sr Cloud Technical Lead within the SAS Cloud team, you will guide hosted and remotely managed SAS environments and partner with customers, analysts, developers, and implementation teams. You’ll provide leadership, hands-on support, and technical oversight from kickoff to production release, aligning with customer success criteria. Your work includes documentation, automation, and mentoring to uplift global teams and respond to operational incidents. You will collaborate with global R&D, Product, and CIS teams to improve quality, efficiency, and service delivery. This role offers a meaningful chance to shape enterprise cloud services at scale while upholding SAS security and standards. Pay / Benefits * Lead hosted and remotely managed customer projects from kickoff to go-live with technical oversight * Advise on major post-deployment changes (upgrades, migrations) and resolve complex issues * Define and validate technical requirements to ensure stability and alignment with SAS Cloud standards * Act as SAS Administrator for high-complexity tasks, configure and debug mid-tier software, manage containers, develop SAS and third-party tooling * Apply IT Service Management best practices for change, incident, and problem management; create runbooks and knowledge base content * Deliver exceptional customer service and coordinate with support teams and vendors to ensure satisfaction * Facilitate knowledge transfer and mentor team members on enterprise technologies and engagements * Work with global customers and teams to manage workload, diary commitments, and critical events * Ensure compliance with security policies supporting secure software development * Support continuous improvement and automation initiatives in service delivery Tasks * Experience writing programs in more than one language; 8+ years in end user and system administrator consulting or similar * Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (or equivalent) * Fluent in English; right to work in the UK * Experience in at least four of: SAS Administration/support; AWS and/or Azure; Kubernetes; enterprise class software/hardware support; UNIX/Linux; customer/consulting/training; managing large IT cloud systems * Experience managing customer expectations and large cloud deployments Key requirements *
