Job description
We’re looking for a talented Full Stack Engineer to join our growing product and development team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across both frontend and backend development, building and enhancing a multi-tenant SaaS platform that supports schools and education professionals. You’ll play a key role in delivering features from concept through to deployment, working across our Next.js/React frontend and TypeScript backend services.
You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy solving problems across the full technology stack, collaborating with others, and taking ownership of delivering high-quality solutions. You’ll also work alongside AI-assisted development tools, using your technical expertise and judgement to review, refine and integrate solutions effectively., * Design, build and deliver features across both frontend and backend systems.
- Develop and maintain scalable applications using TypeScript, React and Next.js.
- Ensure frontend and backend services remain aligned through shared API contracts.
- Review, validate and enhance code generated through AI-assisted development tools.
- Contribute to architecture, integration and technical design decisions.
- Support cross-functional requirements including authentication, performance optimisation and tenant management.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to continuously improve products, processes and user experience.
Requirements
You’ll be an adaptable engineer with strong full-stack development experience and a passion for delivering high-quality software.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven commercial experience developing full-stack applications using TypeScript.
- Strong experience with React and Next.js.
- Experience developing backend services using Node.js.
- Solid understanding of API design and data modelling principles.
- Strong code review and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to take ownership of features and work across multiple technology layers.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience building multi-tenant SaaS applications.
- Knowledge of contract-first or specification-driven development approaches.
- Experience working with AI coding and development tools.
- Understanding of automated testing, including unit and end-to-end testing.
- Awareness of accessibility best practices for web applications.
