Experteer Overview As a Senior Technical Application Specialist, you shape regulatory security monitoring capabilities within the Security Data & AI Lab. You apply an engineering-led approach to deliver scalable, automated and auditable solutions that support enterprise-wide regulatory compliance. You work at the intersection of security, data engineering and platform delivery to drive innovation and robust controls. This role offers impactful work at scale in a mission-driven bank focused on secure, compliant technology delivery. You will mentor peers and contribute to continuous improvement across the lab. Pay / Benefits * Design, build and evolve regulatory security monitoring and compliance capabilities with scalable, verifiable controls * Lead development of security telemetry and monitoring solutions (including Database Activity Monitoring) * Architect and optimise alerting configurations across cloud and on-premise data sources * Embed automated control validation, monitoring and evidencing into engineering workflows * Promote modern engineering practices (CI/CD, automation, testing, IaC) to improve quality and speed * Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members * Challenge existing approaches and drive efficiency, scalability and control effectiveness Tasks * Proven experience in security monitoring, telemetry or compliance engineering * Ability to design and deliver data-driven monitoring solutions, pipelines and automation * Understanding of security logging and regulatory environments (e.g., SOX, SWIFT CSP, audit logging) * Experience with modern cloud platforms (GCP, AWS or Azure) and distributed architectures * Strong problem-solving with a structured, analytical approach * Excellent collaboration and communication skills with stakeholder influence Key requirements * pension contribution up to 15% * annual performance-related bonus * share schemes including free shares * 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays * wellbeing initiatives * generous parental leave policies
