Windows, We are hiring a DevOps / Platform Engineer for one of our local clients on a £550 p/d Inside IR35, remote, 6 month+ contract basis. This role supports a critical policing platform within a legacy Oracle-based environment. We offer the opportunity to work across application, database, infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD improvements in a complex enterprise setting. The role sits within a team supporting legacy platforms and technologies including Oracle, Elasticsearch, VMware, Docker, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Solaris, Windows Server, IBM Initiate MDM, and related middleware and platform services.

Requirements

Must hold SC Clearance
Strong experience supporting enterprise Oracle and Elasticsearch environments
Support and maintenance of legacy applications and infrastructure
CI/CD pipeline development and support
Automated testing and code refactoring
Experience with Nginx, Apache Tomcat and HTTP services
Experience with ETL processes
Experience with containerisation and virtualisation, including Docker and VMware
Experience with Elasticsearch administration and support
Oracle 11 administration experience, including RAC, RMAN and Partitioning
Experience with auditing and protective monitoring integrations
Experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux and/or Oracle Solaris environments
Experience with WebLogic
Experience with PL/SQL
Experience with Java SE/Java EE
Experience with EJB/JSP
Experience with Python
Experience with GIS technologies such as OpenLayers and MapServer
