UX/UI Designer

Please note: This is a 100% on-site role in Barcelona. Remote work is not available for this position. Who is Pillar? Pillar is one of the fast growing startup from Italy which raised 3.2M€ pre-seed, 10 months later reached 1M€ ARR, and a couple of months later raised the biggest seed round of Italy: 12M€. At Pillar, we’re building the financial operating system for the construction industry. It’s a massive sector, full of inefficiencies and slow processes, moving billions while still operating like it’s the 1900s. We’re changing it with AI and a product that’s fast, simple, and scalable. We’ve closed one of the largest pre-seed rounds in Italy and we’re moving fast: if you want to write code that ends up in the hands of the people building our cities, you’re in the right place. Who we’re looking for: UX/UI Designer 4+ years of experience and a portfolio (or track record) that shows your ability to handle product design end-to-end. Strong Figma skills: components, variants, auto-layout, prototyping. Experience working with complex, scalable Design Systems-you know how to expand and maintain them. Ability to work with both qualitative and quantitative data to make informed decisions. Clear and effective communication skills-you can align and influence stakeholders across different teams. Proactive problem solver who can drive projects forward with minimal supervision. Proficient english Bonus points Familiarity with Next.js/React and the shadcn/ui library-you can speak the frontend developers’ language Experience with motion design and micro-interactions Familiarity with financial concepts (invoices, payments, VAT, withholdings, etc.), or prior experience in fintech or similar products Italian speaker How we work Agile: The team is split into squads, each responsible for its own domain.
