Job description
We are Progress, a trusted provider of software that enables our customers to develop, deploy, and manage responsible, AI-powered applications and experiences with agility and ease., * Serve as an administrator for the Salesforce platform, ensuring stability, reliability, security, compliance, and optimal performance.
- Manage user access, permission sets, roles, sharing rules, profiles, and security controls while maintaining platform governance and operational best practices.
- Monitor platform health, integrations, scheduled jobs, data quality, and system performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Lead production support activities, including incident resolution, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and stakeholder communication.
- Design and implement scalable Salesforce solutions using declarative tools such as Flows, Lightning App Builder, validation rules, Dynamic Forms, reports, dashboards, and the Salesforce security model.
- Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into effective Salesforce solutions.
- Own release management activities, including Salesforce seasonal releases, deployment planning, sandbox strategy, managed package upgrades, testing coordination, and change control.
- Monitor and support integrations with enterprise systems, troubleshooting API failures, authentication issues, and data synchronization problems.
- Support Salesforce DevOps practices, including environment management, CI/CD processes, deployment validation, and release readiness.
- Read and troubleshoot Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, and related technologies to support issue resolution and collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
- Leverage AI tools and Salesforce AI capabilities, including Agentforce and Einstein, where they provide measurable business value.
Requirements
This is a hands-on role focused primarily on Salesforce administration, platform operations, configuration, governance, and DevOps practices. While familiarity with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, and Salesforce APIs is important, this is not primarily a Salesforce Developer role. We are seeking an administrator-first professional who can maintain, troubleshoot, optimize, and evolve the Salesforce platform while partnering effectively with developers, architects, and business stakeholders., * 4+ years of Salesforce Administration experience supporting enterprise-scale Salesforce environments with complex business processes, integrations, security requirements, and high availability expectations.
- Advanced understanding of Salesforce administration, security, governance, environment management, and production support.
- Strong hands-on experience with Flow Builder, Lightning Experience, security and sharing models, custom objects and fields, validation rules, reports and dashboards, user administration, and release coordination.
- Experience supporting Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud and integrated enterprise application ecosystems.
- Working knowledge of Apex, LWC, SOQL, Salesforce APIs, and REST integrations.
- Ability to read and troubleshoot Salesforce code and partner effectively with developers and architects.
- Experience with release management, sandboxes, source control concepts, CI/CD methodologies, deployment validation, and testing.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery, Jira, Copado, GitHub, Salesforce DX, and modern DevOps practices.
- Experience with AI tools, Agentforce, Einstein, MCP, or related technologies is a plus.
- Salesforce certifications such as Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I, Business Analyst, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, or Experience Cloud Consultant are preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
