Senior Systems Engineer

Experteer Overview As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will enable data-driven decision-making for DoD programs by applying systems engineering, data analysis, and rapid visualization. You will build data products, dashboards, and analytical tools using government analytics platforms to improve access to critical data. The role focuses on translating operational needs into reliable data assets and lifecycle-ready solutions. You will work with cross-functional teams to strengthen decision support across large, complex projects. Compensation / Benefits * Curate and structure raw data feeds into reliable datasets for querying and reporting * Develop analytical models and business logic to derive trends and insights * Design and deploy interactive dashboards and lightweight web tools (Qlik, Streamlit or similar) * Apply systems engineering to analyze mission needs and support lifecycle planning for large projects * Maintain trusted data sources to improve decision-making confidence * Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, validate outputs, and improve data access * Use government enterprise tools to build code, apps, dashboards, and data products for GFM DI use cases * Reconcile and standardize disparate force element data and identifiers across systems * Analyze complex system integration challenges within DoD data and analytic platforms * Apply statistical or mathematical modeling to support design decisions and data-driven recommendations * Support assignment data processes, documentation, and training for internal users and Communities of Interest Tasks * Master of Science in Systems Engineering with 3+ years of related experience or * Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering with 6+ years of related experience or * Equivalent degree with substantial mathematics/statistics coursework and significant systems engineering experience * Experience with enterprise analytic platforms, Qlik, Streamlit, SQL, data modeling, dashboard development, or similar tools * DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification; active Top Secret/SCI clearance preferred; CompTIA Security+ recommended * Experience with DoD analytics platforms (Advana) and developing data products for system data access Key requirements * healthcare benefits * paid leave * retirement plans * insurance programs * education and training assistance
