Experteer Overview Inovalon seeks a Staff Software Engineer to design and deliver scalable, distributed systems for the ScriptMed Cloud Platform. You will work across full stack (.NET, SQL, JavaScript, Angular) on Google Cloud Platform and Azure with Kubernetes, driving reliability, security, and performance. You’ll mentor teammates, raise engineering standards, and influence architecture while collaborating with cross-functional partners. This role offers impact on healthcare data solutions at scale within a mission-driven culture. Compensation / Benefits * Design and deliver distributed, microservices-based systems that are resilient, secure, and scalable * Contribute to ScriptMed Cloud Platform across backend (.NET, SQL) and frontend (Angular) * Build and operate microservices on GCP/Azure with Kubernetes * Apply cloud-native patterns to improve reliability and scale * Utilize observability tools (Datadog, Grafana, ELK) to monitor health and drive improvements * Provide technical leadership to raise bar on scale, resiliency, and security * Design and scope small modules/features independently * Review and influence design, architecture, and standards * Explore innovative technologies for scalable, maintainable infrastructure * Develop metrics to manage complex systems and drive automation * Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders with data-driven feedback * Mentor onboarding team members and enable ramp-up * Handle PHI/PII with compliant data handling * Participate in on-call rotation to support critical issues * Adhere to HIPAA and other policies and procedures * Maintain compliance with company policies and mission Tasks * Minimum 8 years of software development experience with distributed systems and high-throughput platforms * Proficiency in C# and .NET * SQL experience including LINQ query development/optimization * Full-stack experience (JavaScript, Angular) with .NET backend * Experience deploying and managing microservices on GCP and/or Azure using Kubernetes * Familiarity with observability tooling (Datadog, Grafana, ELK Stack) * Experience designing modules/features and breaking down complex requirements * Understanding of PHI/PII data handling in healthcare environments * Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude) * Strong architectural/system design judgment with proven engineering excellence * Excellent troubleshooting and collaborative communication skills * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology Key requirements *
