Sr Software Development Engineer, Amazon Music- Big Screens

Experteer Overview In this role, you will steer the technical direction for the Big Screens experience, shaping living-room music apps across Fire TV and other TV platforms. You will collaborate with product, design, and engineering to deliver intuitive, high-performance playback and navigation at scale. You’ll tackle architecture and reliability challenges to enable rapid feature innovation and a consistent user experience. Compensation / Benefits * Set and drive the technical direction for major features within the developer experience portfolio * Make architectural decisions and establish engineering best practices for codebase and infrastructure * Mentor SDE 1s/SDE 2s, conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance * Collaborate with Principal Engineers to solve complex technical challenges and align on approaches * Define and uphold engineering and operational excellence standards (design reviews, testing strategy, prod/operational readiness) * Design APIs and frameworks that other teams can reuse to build productivity solutions * Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and operationally excellent * Partner with cross-organizational teams to understand pain points and requirements * Present technical designs and results to leadership and stakeholders Tasks * 5+ years of non-internship software development experience * 5+ years of programming experience in at least one programming language * 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new or existing systems * Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team * Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent (preferred) Key requirements * health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription) * 401(k) matching * paid time off * par ental leave * RSUs and sign-on payments * comprehensive benefits
