Job description

  • Analyse and interpret data to understand its structure, quality and business value.
  • Support the creation of data-driven insights, reports and analytical outputs for a range of stakeholders.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the business to gather requirements and understand how data can support decision-making.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of data solutions through data analysis, modelling activities and supporting documentation.
  • Support and work within Agile delivery processes, helping to manage priorities, support sprint activities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Participate in testing and quality assurance activities, including User Acceptance Testing, to ensure data solutions are accurate and reliable.
  • Support data management activities such as data acquisitions, data reviews and ensuring data retention policies are followed.
  • Learn from experienced colleagues while developing your technical, analytical and stakeholder engagement skills., * Regular updates on the progress / outcome of your application
  • An initial telephone screening call with a Talent Acquisition Partner
  • First interview with the hiring manager, usually via Teams
  • Second/Final interview, in-person at our office (we may give you a role specific task to present on!)

Requirements

  • A degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience in writing basic SQL queries and an understanding of relational and non-relational databases.
  • A basic understanding of data analysis concepts and techniques.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills and an eagerness to explore, interpret and learn from data and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear, simple way.
  • A proactive and curious approach, with a willingness to learn, ask questions and continuously develop your skills.
  • A quality-focused mindset with an interest in testing and validating data outputs

  • The ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Exposure to Power BI, Python or other data analysis tools or coding languages would be beneficial, but isn’t essential.
  • Awareness of Agile delivery methodologies, version control and modern development practices would be advantageous.

Salary - Circa £34,300 negotiable dependent on skills & experience.

When we work

Our standard working hours are 8:30 - 16:30 Monday - Thursday, early finish on Friday - 8:30 - 15:45 (Talk to us about flexible working if this doesn’t quite suit you - we take work-life balance seriously!)
