Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will help power Freenow’s fintech payments layer, enabling trusted, transparent money flows for riders and providers. You’ll work within a multinational, collaborative team to design scalable microservices, own features end-to-end, and improve reliability and compliance. You’ll tackle edge cases, contribute to code quality, and mentor juniors as the platform evolves with Lyft. This is a chance to shape critical financial systems at scale. Pay / Benefits * Own features end-to-end from design to deployment and monitoring * Design and build microservices and clean, well-documented APIs * Participate in code reviews as author and reviewer to raise quality * Identify gaps in tests, edge cases, and technical debt and address them * Collaborate in an agile environment and contribute to ceremonies * Support monitoring, alerting, and incident response for owned services * Assist in ramping up and mentoring junior teammates * Stay updated on technology trends and apply best practices * Solve real problems impacting users Tasks * 3-5 years of software engineering experience with Kotlin or Java in production systems * Comfortable designing RESTful APIs (filtering, versioning, pagination) and reasoning about event-driven architectures, transactions, and resiliency * Solid experience with Spring (Boot) or similar JVM framework, and understanding of relational databases and JPA/ORM * Ability to work independently through ambiguous requirements and debug large codebases * Strong testing habits across unit/integration/system levels with focus on edge cases * Clear communication of technical topics to diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders * Experience using AI coding assistants as part of daily workflow while ensuring quality * Willingness to contribute to on-call rotations and incident resolution * Preferably knowledge of financial systems like invoicing and payouts Key requirements * Flexible working arrangements * LinkedIn Learning * Sabbatical & special leave policies * Mobility Credit * Health Insurance * Employee assistance program
