SQL Server Database Administrator

AgreeYa is a global Systems Integrator and is seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of database administration and data solutions, maintaining standard and enterprise Microsoft SQL Server environments (2012 through 2019) hosted on physical and virtual Windows Servers., * Provide comprehensive database administration and maintenance for Microsoft SQL Server 2012 through 2019 environments.

• Coordinate the modernization of complex legacy SQL code and support concurrent new development projects.
• Establish standards and designs for physical data storage, maintenance, access, and security administration.
• Identify and perform necessary backup and recovery procedures on database management systems.
• Configure database parameters and prototype designs against logical data models.
• Keep data repository requirements, data dictionaries, and warehousing requirements updated and documented.
• Optimize database access and allocate resources for maximum performance and cost-efficiency.
• Participate in all assigned project onsite meetings and collaborate with Project Management and Application Designers.
• Responsible for ensuring security driven concepts align with NIST, Microsoft Trust Center, and internal departmental policies.

• 5+ years of experience in a lead Microsoft SQL Server database administrator role.
• 5 to 10 years of experience with database design, testing, implementation, and administration in multi-platform environments.
• Expert proficiency in authoring complex SQL scripts, including DML, DQL, DDL, and DCL.
• Solid understanding of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Packages and data interchange formats like JSON.
• Demonstrated experience with Data Modeling, including Logical, Physical, and Relational modeling, and ER Diagrams.
• Working knowledge of Azure Cloud Services, BLOB Storage, SQL Data Tools, and AWS.
• Experience performing standalone installations, feature additions, and version upgrades using the SQL Server Installation Center.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience utilizing Redgate SQL Monitor, Advanced Query Tool (AQT), or Quest Toad.
• Familiarity with supporting DB2 11.5 LUW, DB2 12.0 z/OS, or Oracle environments.

Education Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline with equivalent work experience., * How many years of experience working as a SQL Server DBA ?
