Job Description | Junior Data Scientist About the Role We are looking for a motivated Junior Data Scientist to join a growing data team focused on transforming large volumes of data into actionable insights. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong quantitative background who enjoys solving complex problems using statistical methods, machine learning, and programming. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop analytical models, identify business opportunities through data, and contribute to data-driven decision-making. Key Responsibilities - Analyze and interpret large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities. - Develop, validate, and optimize statistical and machine learning models. - Apply advanced analytical techniques, including multivariate statistics, predictive modeling, and network analysis. - Clean, transform, and prepare structured and unstructured data for analysis. - Build reproducible analytical workflows using Python and/or R. - Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into analytical solutions. - Present findings and recommendations through clear visualizations and reports. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytical methodologies and best practices. Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics , or a related quantitative discipline such as Physics, Engineering , or another field with a strong mathematical and statistical foundation. - Ideally, a Master’s Degree in Data Science , Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, or a related field. - 1 to 2 years of experience working on analytical or data science projects. - Strong understanding of statistical methodologies, including multivariate analysis, predictive modeling, machine learning, and network analysis. - Experience working with large datasets and performing data preparation, transformation, and analysis. - Strong programming skills in Python and/or R . - Good knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation. - Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. - Professional proficiency in English. Nice to Have - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch. - Experience with big data technologies such as Spark or Hadoop. - Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Matplotlib. - Knowledge of version control using Git.
