Job description

Raytheon is seeking a talented and motivated Systems Engineer to join our team Systems Integration & Test Long Range Radars Department within the Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities Directorate is seeking a Systems Engineer I who will support X-Band Radar technology that includes performing radar data analysis and systems integration activities at our Woburn, MA location. This includes supporting systems data analysis and integration tasks and working competing priorities. Typical daily activities executed by the teams include scenario development, testing, data analysis, support to software development and systems engineering teams, and customer presentations. The individual will contribute to growing the team’s abilities and be able to work with both internal and external customers.

What You Will Do

  • Support integration and test planning/execution, executing verification/validation vents, execute regression testing, and perform scenario-based analysis to identify and resolve technical observations.
  • Support system performance assessments and validation testing to ensure compliance with requirements and specifications.
  • Execute integration plans and testing activities according to defined tasking milestones and schedules.
  • Integrate and test radar system software builds in a String/HWIL facility for supporting integration, verification, test, and data analysis activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-program leads/stakeholders to generate test approaches, ensure test-setup readiness, and participate in key processes (peer, gate, and test readiness)
  • Confirm test and evaluation processes are conducted according to established procedures for software and hardware and ensure compliance with Department of Defense technology release and export licensing policies.
  • Willingness for 10% local and non-local travel including experience with domestic and foreign military sales products.

Requirements

Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance, Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date, * Typically requires a Bachelors Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of experience.

  • Experience with MATLAB, Python, Perl, C/C++, Linux, Unix, and/or other programming, * Experience using String/HWIL test equipment, radio frequency (RF) electronic hardware configuration and installation.
  • Understanding of MATLAB, Linux Operating Systems (Linux Red Hat), Unix, and Shell scripting for performing integration, verification, test, and data analysis, integrating and configuring electronics, installing/debugging software.
  • Knowledge with creating integration test procedures, test plans, test scripts, developing and maintaining configuration control documentation, and navigating through test setup
  • Understanding of agile and DevSecOps processes, implement (or maintain) agile
  • Individual integration skills, knowledge of radar and signal processing concepts, modeling and determining radar performance.

Benefits & conditions

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
