Job description
Experteer Overview In this IT Leadership role, you guide the customer service/helpdesk team and oversee database and network security to ensure reliable operations for critical systems. You’ll manage access, backups, deployments, and cybersecurity controls while coordinating global IT support and projects. You’ll translate user needs into secure, scalable IT solutions and drive performance metrics. This role aligns with CAE’s mission to enable mission readiness through secure, high-quality IT services. Compensation / Benefits * Lead the IT Help Desk and oversee first-line support, incident resolution, and service requests * Manage database and network security, access controls, backups, and storage planning * Coordinate software/hardware deployments and IT projects across remote locations * Create accounts, configure systems, and manage schema changes and data storage structures * Monitor system performance, generate department metrics, and drive process improvements * Provide user training and documentation, and act as escalation point for complex issues * Ensure compliance with security policies and DoD-specific requirements * Supervise IT resources and personnel, including scheduling and budget considerations Tasks * Bachelor in Management Information Systems / Computer Science / Software Engineering or technical equivalent * 5+ years IT experience * Strong knowledge of host/client-server architectures, networks, and migrations * Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, and related tools * LAN/WAN design and troubleshooting (Layer 2/3, VLANs, IOS, VOIP) * Large-scale storage technologies (SAN/NAS, backup, replication) * Certifications such as MCSE, MCP, CCNA, CISSP or Security+ preferred * Excellent communication and presentation skills * Ability to work independently and overtime as required * U.S. citizenship and eligibility for DoD security clearance Key requirements * comprehensive benefits package * work-life balance * professional development * advancement opportunities * supportive work environment * flexibility to succeed
