Experteer Overview In this role you will drive advanced mechanical automation and thermal solutions for Teradyne’s next-gen System Level Test and Storage platforms. You will translate customer insights into scalable architectures and collaborate with cross-functional teams from concept to high-volume manufacturing. You’ll own thermal architectures and support product development through technical guidance, demonstrations, and optimization. This is a hands-on, impact-oriented role at the intersection of design, engineering rigor, and customer success. Compensation / Benefits * Deliver technical value to customers and support sales through technical input * Provide software and hardware development support and technical consultation for system software and applications * Develop application solutions based on client requirements via visits, reviews, and joint debugging sessions * Translate multi-stakeholder requirements into actionable product and architecture definitions with balanced tradeoffs * Define and communicate system architectures, including electromechanical subsystems with automation foundations * Own and drive thermal architecture for complex subsystems and coordinate with cross-functional teams * Collaborate across teams with clear communication, technical guidance, scheduling, and change management Tasks * Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering (MS or PhD a plus) with 10-15 years in designing mechanical automation with integrated thermal solutions * Ability to discuss technical details with customers and internal teams on mechanical automation and high-powered cooling * Capable of self-driven work while contributing to medium- and long-term goals * Strong engineering practices demonstrated through analytical validation and requirements definition * Solid fundamentals in machine design and Thermal Applications * Experience with motion control or automation systems * Thermal/Power test experience is a plus * Strong knowledge of heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and thermal system design * Experience with liquid cooling systems and high-power electronics * Proficiency with thermal simulation tools (CFD / FEA) preferred * Willingness to travel ~20%-30% Key requirements * medical, dental, vision * Flexible Spending Accounts * retirement savings plans * life and disability insurance * paid vacation & holidays * tuition assistance
