Job description
- Perform and review technical security assessments of computing environments
- Identify vulnerabilities and non-compliance with established information assurance standards and regulations
- Recommend appropriate security mitigation strategies
- Validate and verify system security requirements and establish system security designs
- Design, develop, implement, and integrate cybersecurity and information assurance systems and components
- Support networking, computing, and multi-enclave environments with varying data classification requirements
- Incorporate security requirements into systems deployed to operational environments
- Support architects and systems developers in implementing appropriate cybersecurity functionality
- Develop and support system security architectures
- Assess and mitigate system security threats and risks throughout the program lifecycle
- Support security planning, assessments, risk analysis, risk management, and authorization activities
- Review certification and authorization documentation for completeness and compliance
- Apply system security engineering expertise throughout the engineering lifecycle
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and cybersecurity teams
Requirements
Education & Certification Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, or a related discipline. Four years of relevant ISSE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. Seven years of ISSE experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE Level II is required.
Clearance Requirements: Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) clearance required for classified assignments. A full-scope polygraph may be required depending on the specific assignment and access requirements., * 7+ years of relevant ISSE experience on programs of similar scope and complexity
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline or qualifying experience substitution
- DoD 8570 IASAE Level II compliance
- Experience performing cybersecurity assessments and vulnerability analysis
- Experience developing and validating system security requirements
- Knowledge of system security architecture and engineering principles
- Experience supporting risk analysis and risk mitigation activities
- Ability to integrate cybersecurity requirements into complex information systems
- Strong technical documentation, analytical, and communication skills
Desired Skills:
- Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community systems
- Experience with RMF and system authorization activities
- Knowledge of security architecture across multi-enclave environments
- Experience with classified systems and differing data protection requirements
- Experience supporting security throughout the complete system engineering lifecycle
