Job description
Experteer Overview As a Desktop Support Specialist, you help keep end users productive by resolving hardware, software, and network issues. You’ll support desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals, ensuring minimal downtime and smooth onboarding. You’ll work on a fast-paced on-site environment, collaborating with IT teams to maintain secure, up-to-date systems. Compensation / Benefits * Provide first- and second-level support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals * Troubleshoot hardware, software, OS, and network connectivity issues * Install, configure, and update desktop OS and business apps * Respond to help desk tickets, calls, emails, and walk-up requests * Escalate complex issues to IT teams as needed * Document incidents, resolutions, and configurations * Support onboarding/offboarding by provisioning/decommissioning accounts and equipment * Assist remote users using remote access tools * Maintain security standards (antivirus, patching, access controls) * Track assets and manage equipment lifecycle Tasks * Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, or related field, or equivalent experience * 1-3 years desktop support or technical support experience * Strong knowledge of Windows and/or macOS * Experience with Microsoft 365 * Familiarity with Active Directory and basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) * Experience with ticketing systems and remote support platforms * Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills Key requirements * medical, dental, and vision insurance * 401k retirement plan * paid time off * paid sick leave
