About The Role What if your instinct for thinking like an attacker could directly shape how AI understands cyber threats? We’re looking for Offensive Security Analysts to analyze real-world attack paths, model adversary behavior, and help train the AI systems that will define the next generation of security intelligence. This role is about structured adversarial reasoning - not exploit development. You’ll map how threats move through systems, where defenses break down, and how risk cascades across modern environments. Your expertise becomes the ground truth that frontier AI learns from. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for experienced security professionals who want meaningful work on their own schedule. - Organization: Alignerr - Type: Hourly Contract - Location: Remote - Commitment: 10-40 hours/week What You’ll Do - Analyze attack paths, kill chains, and adversary strategies across realistic production environments - Identify and classify weaknesses
Requirements
misconfigurations, and defensive gaps - Review red-team-style scenarios and intrusion narratives for accuracy and depth - Generate, label, and validate adversarial reasoning data used to train and evaluate AI systems - Clearly articulate attack chains, risk impact, and security tradeoffs in structured formats - Work independently and asynchronously - fully on your own schedule Who You Are - 2 years of hands-on experience in pentesting, red teaming, or a blue-team role with deep attack knowledge - You understand how real attacks unfold in production environments - not just in theory - Able to trace an attack chain from initial access to impact and explain every step clearly - Comfortable working with structured data formats and written analysis - Detail-oriented, methodical, and able to work independently without hand-holding - No exploit development or active offensive tooling required for this role Nice to Have - Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, or STRIDE - Experience writing threat models, red team reports, or security assessments - Background in cloud security, network security, or enterprise defense - Prior exposure to AI training workflows or data labeling platforms Why Join Us - Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside leading research labs - Fully remote and flexible - work when and where it suits you - Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, task-based work - Put your offensive security expertise to use in a novel, high-impact context - Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
