Job description

Experteer Overview As a Mainframe Production Support SME, you will own the reliability of critical mainframe applications in a hybrid Plano environment. You’ll troubleshoot batch issues, restore abends, and deliver ad hoc reports to business lines. You will act as a hands-on expert, driving issue resolution, process and performance improvements, and production release support. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to sustain operations and provide after-hours/on-call coverage when needed. Compensation / Benefits * Ensure applications function as designed and address batch/customer issues * Analyze production issues and restore batch abends; create ad hoc data reports * Serve as hands-on Subject Matter Expert and support issue resolution (P1-P3) * Assess and suggest process, performance, and enhancement opportunities * Maintain documentation of issues and knowledge of business processes * Provide application release and deployment support * Triage production tickets and issues; identify root causes and perform breakfix in code/DB * Provide after-hours, weekend, and on-call support as required Tasks * 10 years of developing/supporting mainframe-based applications * 10 years of developing batch using JCL * 10 years of analyzing/developing COBOL and Easytrieve programs * 10 years of experience with Flat files, VSAM, DB2 and IMS DBDC * 5 years of experience with CA7, NDMFTP, File Manager Key requirements *
