Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will guide the West Service Area field team while performing hands-on work to integrate fiber and IP-based circuits, migrating legacy TDM to modern IP networks across the NAS. You’ll design, validate, and deploy NAS-enabled systems and manage full lifecycle migrations from planning to cutover. You’ll communicate progress to leadership and ensure performance and reliability of mission-critical aviation data. This is a chance to contribute to the BNATCS modernization effort in a high-impact, cross-functional setting. Compensation / Benefits * Lead design, integration, and testing of NAS-supporting systems resulting in working IP network solutions from early architecture drawings * Oversee full lifecycle of network infrastructure and software projects, migrating TDM circuits to IP-based systems and performing cutovers and validation * Assess requirements and propose design changes, clearly communicating updates to hardware and software teams * Provide hands-on infrastructure support with network protocols and server hardware to resolve bottlenecks during multi-state deployments * Monitor performance via dashboards and KPIs to ensure reliability and resilience of fiber installations * Deliver clear status updates and briefings to stakeholders and senior leadership Tasks * 12+ years of hands-on telecommunications network engineering, circuit integration, or infrastructure planning * Deep technical command of BGP, TCP/IP, MPLS, and IPv6 for TDM-to-IP conversion * Hands-on experience with optical networking (fiber) and telecom hardware, testing, validation * Experience modeling network growth and capacity planning for large-scale upgrades * Telecommunications infrastructure experience with ground networks and air-to-ground systems * U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance * Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree) Key requirements *
